Since being honored by Women in Film & Television with the Woman to Watch Award in 2008, Ms. Roberson has given an eyeful to anyone paying attention. Crystle’s work has been featured on networks such as BET, ASPIRE and other popular media outlets like The Huffington Post, JET Magazine, The Source, Centric, Rolling Out, Shadow & Act, Bossip and more. After writing and directing a short called NEXT DOOR’S NEXT, which won the HBO Filmmaker Award in 2009, Crystle has garnered many more accolades over the course of her career. She has also assisted producers, directors, and writers on studio level film & television projects such as Red Band Society (TV – ABC/Amblin), The Red Road (TV – Sundance Channel) Think Like a Man Too (Sony), Zombieland (Sony), Footloose (Paramount), No Good Deed (Sony), Stomp the Yard (Sony), and The Odd Life of Timothy Green (Disney) and more. Crystle premiered her short film ECHOES at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner in 2013 and received rave reviews from the international audience. Her most recent film THE END AGAIN stars former Scandal cast member Columbus Short and was an official selection in Urbanworld, Martha’s Vineyard, Blackstar, ABFF Independent and Hollywood Shorts Film Festivals.
Crystle’s web-released projects have collectively attracted over 1 million views including actor/artist Idris Elba’s music video PRIVATE GARDEN, and the highly buzzed web series LOVE HANDLES. She currently travels between Atlanta and Los Angeles as a fulltime writer/director.
