Born in the tropical jungles of Costa Rica, Ana Valverde dreamed of being a veterinarian, but after unsuccessfully attempting to reattach a lizard’s tail to its rightful owner, she began focusing on less delicate undertakings, such as climbing mango trees. She moved to Boston at the age of 12 with her family and went on to study Broadcast Journalism and Sociology at Boston University, where she was awarded the Howard Stern Scholarship. After graduating, she decided that working for herself was way cooler, so she scrapped the whole journalist thing to pursue acting and voiceover work. Since moving to LA, she has appeared in such television shows as Greek, Grey’s Anatomy and True Blood, in addition to numerous TV commercials and voiceover spots. She lives in Sherman Oaks with her fiancé and two cats. She loves whiskey, video games and Ron Weasly.
